Accounting Analyst

Job Context

The Accounting Analyst is a versatile professional who plays a key role in financial monitoring and data analysis for the firm's clients. He or she transforms accounting data into strategic information to support decision-making by business leaders. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting processes, proficiency in analytical tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgets or forecasts
• Participate in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Produce clear and actionable financial dashboards and management reports
• Analyze profitability by product, service, department, or project
• Collaborate with operational teams to interpret financial data
• Identify anomalies and propose process improvement recommendations
• Support year-end file preparation and audits

Desired Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA designation an asset)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas) and ERP software
• Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and ability to synthesize information
• Good oral and written communication in French; English is an asset
• Autonomy, rigor, and commitment to quality in delivering analyses
• Ability to work with artificial intelligence tools (e.g., data analysis, automated report generation)

Additional Assets

• Experience in an accounting firm or multi-client context
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of accounting standards applicable to private or publicly listed companies (an asset)
• Experience with automation and data analysis tools
